Alright ladies (and gentlemen) it is what we've all been waiting for.
Bow Ties have officially gone uni-sex.
I've always loved the look of bow ties, and think that my husband looks so cute in them. But, I have always thought, why not for me?! Why does such a cute accessory have to be only for men.
Well look no further--Spencer and Carly have saved the day.

A little about this darling couple:
Spencer and his beautiful wife, Carly, were married this last March. The entire wedding was DIY and entailed Spencer teaching himself to sew so that a wider range of décor possibilites would be available to them. The wedding décor was vintage (and you know A Dose of Lovely adores anything vintage!), my favorite item that they created was Carly’s bouquet which was made up of antique brooches (brilliant right?!). After putting so much time into the wedding, it was hard for these two to go back to life as it was before. Since Spencer has always been an avid Bow Tie wearer, he decided that he may as well learn to make his own—After all, they’d be cheaper & the style he wants. Well these two took this bow tie idea and ran with it! In their Etsy Store you will find adjustable pre-tied bow ties for both men & babies (that’s right, I said babies…too cute), and for those ladies (because we all secretly wish we could pull off the bow ties) he has made bow tie headbands and clips. Carly works at a pediatric clinic, and Spencer as a substitute teacher and writer for Salt Lake City Weekly and FILTER magazine. During the summer months he spends his time creating these lovely pieces, with the help of Carly who manages the business end of things. What I love most about this couple, is that they feel passionate about creating things they love, you won't find an item in their store that they wouldn't wear or use.
They also sell button items (check out their store to see these gems!)
